Executive Mentor

Nurturing a business into one capable of delivering sustainable success requires UK SME’s to embrace a culture of year on year business improvement. This philosophy will help maintain your competitive positioning and ensures that the customer remains the central focus of your operational efficiency initiatives. However this strategic intent will only become a reality if the Directors have the time, capability and support to make it happen.

What is often overlooked is the need for the Director’s to be part of the overall improvement initiative and to make sure they “invest” in their own personal development. Spending time out of the office on training courses is often hard to justify and invariably proves to be a contentious issue. A more practical means of developing the capabilities of senior executives is for them to work with an experienced Executive Mentor.

The mentor works alongside the Director, ideally on a specific project to measure the impact and return on investment. The role of the mentor is not “to do all the doing” but rather to guide, nurture, challenge and impart knowledge; so helping the Director(s) to improve their capabilities.
