Business Plans
The business planning process should enable you to articulate a clear vision for your business, along with the key strategies upon which you will fulfill that vision. Our methodology aims to deliver this through the use of industry standard business planning tools and an interactive approach to ensure ownership of the outputs. The methodology is split into distinct stages which run sequentially and are conducted over “as short a period of time as possible” to ensure continuity; typically this would be a 4-8 week period.
Stage 1: Initial Preparation
The initial preparation involves gathering information from your website, sales literature, proposal documents, financial accounts, competitor information and other useful sources. In parallel to this 1 to 1 meetings are arranged with the Directors and, where appropriate, other key members of staff.
Stage 2: Strategic Planning Workshops
A mix of presentations & hands-on exercises using standard planning tools. The three workshops cover:
Workshop 1: Where are we today?
Workshop 2: Identifying Market Opportunities & Threats
Workshop 3: Strategic Options & Evaluation
Stage 3: Presentation of the Business Plan
Upon completion of the workshops the final task is to pull it all together into a coherent plan. This we complete prior to presenting the final version to the management team.
